I’ve researched this topic multiple times and have had my beryl router for about 2 years without issues. I’m currently trying to connect to the Marriot WiFi in Aruba but no matter what I do I keep getting The interface is connected, but the Internet can't be accessed. I’ve tried Mac cloning, disabling DNS attack, disabling ad guard, visiting other sites to try to trigger the captive portal, connecting via Ethernet, and rebooting.
Right now I have dns and ad guard disabled. My MAC address is closed to my iPhone with has access. I have a suspicious my router isn’t reaching any connection to the internet, thus unable to even reach the captive page.
Was using my iPhone. I pulled the MAC address my iPhone. I went into the WiFi settings and before connecting to the Marriott network I unchecked Private WiFi address and then I was able to connect without needing to connect to captive and it worked.
I didn’t update before my trip, but I was able to update and download the newest firmware while here.
Portal detection did not work once I got it connected. I would go to open the portal page but it would fail to connect. I don’t know if this was because of the MAC address though.
