Insecure hash algorithm

I have a mango GL-MT300N-V2 connected to a Linksys MX4200. Hoping to set up vpn server for when i work/travel overseas. I have everything setup (i think) but now get this error when installing and connecting the ovpn file :

error message you are using insecure hash algorithm in CA Signature. Please regenerate CA with other hash algorithm.

Thanks

The issue is on your server - maybe it does not support the correct hashing algo.

From what i know everything above 128bits should be sufficient.

I believe this error in specific had to do with the sweet32 vulnerability but not entirely sure though, the cipher is too weak.

I am getting the same message on my Beryl Travel Router. It is up to date on firmware, and generates a ovpn file just fine, but whenever I try to connect from multiple clients I get the insecure hash algorithm - is there a bug in the Beryl OpenVPN server creation file?
