Internet Connections not working

Which router (which model?) PFSENSE 2.7.2

Which firmware version is in use? 4.6.4

How is your router connected to the Internet? Yes

By cable via the router of your Internet provider? Direct Ethernet

Via WLAN? (If yes, which network and which encryption?) NA

Do you use DHCP or static IP addresses? Tried both

I have tried to troubleshooting Ethernet connections.

Tried two cables both allow PFSENSE to assign IP to my laptop; No Internet connection reported by WT3000

Tried enabling WAN as LAN same issue

ethtool eth1 shows link is detected

Strangely Tethering has only worked once allowing me to upgrade firmware but not it wont connect anymore.

Please share a network diagram containing IP addresses.

Straight forward topology..

NETGL WT3000 config

Make sure your ethernet cable is going from the switch to the WAN port of the glinet router.

I have tried both, but think it should be the LAN port.

Cheers anyway

No, LAN is only for devices connected to the router itself, since the router will create a new subnet.

So WAN is in 99,9% the right port for uplink.

Ok I’ll try that again.. thanks for the clarification

Seems to be working now. Had to also move to a mains power supply. That might of caused part of the issue.

thanks
