Maybe I got a bad unit? I couldn’t do the online update because it kept giving me an error about bad firmware credentials. I finally had to tether my phone to it to update but it still shows like it’s on firmware 4.0. Sometimes online update would start to work but froze at 15% another time it froze at 2%. I finally tether my phone to update but it still shows 4.0

  • Version4.0
  • Firmware Typerelease10304
  • Compile Time2023-06-25 20:21:42(UTC+08:00)

Completely stock, no addons or anything using T-mobile sim

I was using a cell phone booster, not sure if that’s causing problems, I unplugged it for now, only getting around 12MB download.

I discovered it was my cell booster. I’m getting 70MB download without cell booster and only around 10MB with it on. The cell booster made a big difference with my x-300b 4g router but it’s no good with the ax-3000. It’s an Amazon boost that’s suppose to work with 5g.

Hi Kennyk:
The firmware has been successfully updated.

Thanks!

Hi Kennyk:

After you update the firmware,Do you still have frequent disconnection issue at now?

Thanks!

Hi KennyK:

What is your ‘cell booter’ model?

Thanks!

It’s an Amazboost A1 that’s sold on Amazon. It worked good for my x300b 4g but seems to cause issues with GL-X3000. I haven’t had a chance to fully test it but it’s more stable with off and much better download speeds. I can say that my iPhone 10 was better with the cell booster on 5g.

Hi KennyK:

I check Amazboost A1. It only supports a limited number of bands ‘66,12,13,17,5,25,2,4’.

Please help confirm that 5G band is supported by Amazboost A1’'.

Thanks!
