iOS App Repeater fail to connect

Constantly cannot connect via repeater mode in the iOS app across different version firmware number from a Beryl running 3.215/216 to a Slate Plus running 4.1.2 and now 4.2. Log in via the browser instead and it connects to the same SSID fine. It really renders the app useless to me if it can’t achieve the very first action to connect to the hotel wifi.

May I ask which type of Wi-Fi network is experiencing connection issues? Is it the enterprise-level or open-access network? I kindly request this information.

Hotel, seems open access.
