Hi,
Been testing firmware 4.9 on my main Flint 3 router, and was exciting about the new dedicated IoT network settings new to this firmware version, but then I just realized that those options are not present on my other Flint 3 that is configured in AP mode, with is on the other end of the house connected via ethernet to the main Flint 3.
Being a large house I really need the 2 Flint 3’s working to propagate Wi-fi signal everywhere and the optimal solution was to connect them this way.
All my Wi-fi bands as configured the same on both Flint’s except the channels are different to facilitate rooming and avoid signal conflict, I was about to replicate the IoT specific wi-fi setting on the AP mode Flint but sadly the option to do so is not there, even though it’s on the same firmware version.
I understand that being in AP mode, major settings are just not there since it is just working as a “slave” but for this particular scenario I need the option to replicate the Wi-fi settings on the AP mode router or this all think becomes useless to me since the signal from the main router does not reach the other half on my home where several other IoT devices are present.
Is this something to be on the cards for next releases?
