I don’t really understand your setup, tbh.
If you use DDNS you don’t need static IP.

Xfinity is my ISP. I use a Motorola gateway. I then connect my Flint 2 to the Motorola gateway to act as the home server. I have a Slate AX to use as a travel router.
Are you able to remotely access the Virgin Media set up page and change the Port Forwarding rules everytime your IP changes?
I can only access my setup page for Xfinity when I am at home. I’m trying to find a way that I can access it remotely in case I need to change the Port Forwarding rules again.
Didn’t you say that your Flints IP changed? Or was it the IP of your internet connection?
I think I might be confused.
It’s the IP address that shows up here on the web admin panel. Is that the IP address of the Flint?
It is, yes.
If this changed, you need to click modify and set it to static.
Yes, you need to do so if you want static.
Record these values when you use DHCP.
Then change to Static and fill the same values.
Please i have a similar issue. I get this error message when I do DDNS test
"
The IP address from DDNS domain resolution is not the same as the WAN IP of the device.
You need an Internet Public IP address to use Dynamic DNS.
If this router is behind NAT, you may need to set up port forwarding on your ISP router.
If you have VPN Client enabled, please disable "Services from GL.iNet Use VPN" in the global options."
The IP address of my flint2 is different from the ip address of my motorola modem. when I run nslookup on my dns, it gives me the public ip of my isp
