IPVanish with AXT1800

Hello all.

I have a sub to IPVanish. I want to configure my AXT1800 to use IPV.

I downloaded one of the IPV config files for US-NewYork and the ca.ipvanish.com.crt file.

I open the VPN Dashboard and under Global Proxy, click Setup Now for OpenVPN.

I click Add Manually in the OpenVPN Client window.

New Provider name IPVanish and click the checkbox.

I rename the ca.ipvanish.com.crt file to ca.ipvanish.com.txt and I get a message upload was successful in the check box but a Failed at the bottom. Additionally I cannot hit Apply to apply the cert.

When I drag and drop the ovpn file I get that the upload is successful but and error that the certificate file is missing (which makes sense) and to please add a cert before continuing.

Can someone point me to the correct procedure to do this please?

Hello,

  1. When downloading profile from IPVanish, you need to download the xxx.ovpn + xxx.crt files, and then manually package it into .zip on PC and upload it to GL OpenVPN client, and enter the IPVanish username and password.

  1. It is recommended to use WireGuard with IPVanish, as it can login directly to get the WireGuard VPN profile from IPVanish in the GL GUI.
