I never keep any settings moving from any version to another. This is my golden rule for firmware upgrade and I can see no reason to do otherwise. It takes me 10 minutes to reconfigure the fresh installation even with about 30+ IP reservations in place.
Yes it is ok and that’s how it should be done anyways for most minor updates.

In general, keeping your configuration during the upgrade should be fine.
However, please make sure to review the Cautions highlighted in the release notes:
In addition, if you previously created extra SSIDs using other methods, we recommend temporarily removing them to avoid potential conflicts with the newly added IoT network.
