Is it possible to track how much data is used by each connected device, whether it's via WiFi or Ethernet? For Ethernet, will the GL.iNet router be able to see the switch that's connected and then the individual devices wired to the switch?

How accurate is the data usage tracking?

You can view the traffic usage of each device in Admin Panel → Clients.

Please note the following about this feature:

  1. You need to disable Network Acceleration under Network → Network Acceleration, otherwise the data may not be accurate.
  2. Devices using both Wi-Fi and Ethernet will appear as separate entries (since they have different MAC addresses).
  3. Devices connected through a switch attached to the router will also be displayed here.

As for accuracy, there may be slight discrepancies, but it should be reasonably close. You can try downloading a 100 MB or 1 GB file to verify.
(In our local test, downloading a 105 MB file showed about 107 MB usage, which is reasonable considering overhead from HTTPS and other protocols.)
