Is uboot updated when flashing the newest stable firmware?

I read that there is a bug in uboot and it should be updated.
Is uboot updated when I flash a new firmware, e.g. the newest stable version 4 for Flint?

No Uboot needs to be updated manually before going from firmware 3.x to 4.x. If you upgrade firmware and not Uboot it can cause issues down the line. Third post from Hansome

Flint (4.x) update brings down my home internet for hours!

I updated Flint to 4.1.0 rel 2 from 3.x and lost home internet for hours from the ISP itself due to this. This is a very severe issue that gl-inet may want to look into. My ISP is a gigabit fiber that uses an ONT with a limited DHCP capability. The ONT/fiber modem has a pretty strict number of DHCP requests for public IPs it will allow on a short period of time and once its DHCP table gets full it won’t handle any more internet public IPs for a long while. I have to call the ISP to remote reset…

How to check uboot version and where to get the latest list of uboot firmware?

The uboot version is displayed on uboot itself.

So when you enter uboot failsafe mode, the version will be displayed there.

GL-iNet AX1800 OpenWrt firmware

openwrt-ipq60xx-generic-glinet_gl-ax1800-squashfs-nand-factory.bin is ubi format itself, upgrade it by uboot, at page http://192.168.1.1/. you may need to upgrade uboot firstly, and this version is newer than your previous google drive file. upgrade uboot at page http://192.168.1.1/uboot.html.
