I am using MT3000 and M2-Dev kit to use cellular network
I am using a custom apn for my cellular plan "internet.freedommobile.ca"
however, when i go underground and come out (lose cellular signal and restore), the cellular wont reconnect, i have to manually reconnect, it is very inconvenient
the auto setup also didn't work, its always connect to the wrong APN and Wrong protocol (QMI, not QCM)
Any help is appreciated
Probably it is the known issue, may I know what firmware version of the MT3000 is?
Does the APN change when you go from underground to above ground?
Im on the latest version of V4.6.4
Also the modem is on version RM520NGLAAR03A03M4G_01.201.01.201
Nope, but its simply grey and i can click auto connect or manual connect.
When i click auto connect, it uses a different apn probably bulit in somewhere, but it uses QMI mode instead of QCM mode
Your Quectel modem has a apn list built-in, you can check this by connecting it to QNavigator.
My RM500u-CN is full of Chinese APNs.
Auto connect seems to just connect to the modem and the mt3000 awaits the configuration from the Quectel modem instead of forcing the correct mode and apn.
interesting, so the apn is not built in with glinet firmware but the modem firmware?
But this doesnt explain the auto connect always using QMI mode instead of QCM mode... thats probably something within glinet firmware
i assume this is the built-in modem apn

also the windmobile.ca apn is not in this list
The meaning of automatic connection is that it polls our built-in apn
If your sim card uses a special apn
My recommendation is to use a manual connection
when you go underground and come out
