Issue with inbound voice calls on Flint3

Hi,

I have the following setup:

  • Linksys VoIP adapter connected to Flint 3 on the first LAN port.
  • Old fashioned PSTN phone connected to that for our landline.

Since switching to the Flint 3, outbound calls from our landline number have worked well. Inbound calls barely work at all. I was able to successfully call home while out last night, but since then inbound calls have gone to silence.

Edit: Just to clarify, I pay for a fixed IPv4 address from my internet provider.

Edit2: Ok, this seems to have been resolved. My VoIP provider thinks it's a NAT issue and advised I add a STUN server to the settings on the Linksys box. Just made a few calls to landline (phew).

Edit3: And it's unresolved itself. Back to calls to my landline not working,

Are there any settings on the Flint 3 router I should consider?

Edit 4: Enabling ALG on the Flint 3... Promising... (fingers crossed)

That Linksys box must be getting a bit long in the tooth? Maybe time for an upgrade?

FWIW, the Grandstream HT801 is playing nice with a Flint 3.

Fingers crossed it's behaved for the last hour or so. It's been working for the past year on my provider's Icotera (combined ONT and Router). The Icotera is now in bridged mode. Although I have a fixed IPv4 address, I suspect something funky is going on with the networking now that the IP address is on the Flint router. The VoIP provider, Andrews & Arnold (very much an ISP by nerds, for nerds) were very helpful.

Have you had an luck putting the adapter out on the DMZ? Note I'd only do that if its firmware is up to date & has at least NAT or something like it.
