Keyboard free, inactive; Mouse free, inactive

No remote control over keyboard or mouse. Remote Control says keyboard free inactive and mouse free inactive. What does that mean? There is no explanation of those in documentation. Stream is active. Virtual Device disabled, microphone disabled. Changing mouse mode from Absolute to Relative causes all mouse to be lost.

Have you ever successfully controlled it?

No. Whether remotely or on the local network, the result is the same. No mouse or keyboard control - no sound either. The KVM is connected to a laptop that is running radio broadcast automation. We are able to see the automation app but not do any control. We are using the GLIKVM app on Windows and Mac.

It is recommended to check if the Type-C keyboard and mouse cable is correctly connected to the controlled computer. It is also advisable to use the built-in Type-C cable, as many Type-C cables lack data pins.

firmware v1.7-RM1 Same problem with mouse and keyboard control, the device worked correctly with MacBook Air 15 obviously USB C ports. but it doesn't work with Windows PCs USB A ports. No keyboard and mouse control, the icons remain orange "keyboard inactive" "mouse inactive". Tried several USB C adapters. Any solution_??

The supplied cable is connected to a USB-A USB hub which is connected to the PC. The PC does not have enough ports to accommodate the KVM and other required USB devices so an ordinary hub is used. The documentation does not explain what the “inactive” warnings mean.

"Inactive" actually means that HID events cannot be sent to the controlled end, which is usually due to issues with the cable connection or the controlled end not allowing composite HID devices.

But I have to say, when Windows/macOS are used as the controlled end, it's generally not necessary to disable MSD or MIC.

Comet GL-RM1, firmware 1.7.2
I'd like to use it for assistance, often computers with USBA. It almost never connects. Once in 10. Even the video signal only connects once in 3. With the displayport adapter it doesn't connect. Even with Mac computers...... random operation.

The first question is: will the keyboard and mouse work for computers with USB A? Why didn't you include a USB C to A cable in the equipment? There are still a lot of computers with USB A.
Do you recommend a precise model hub to connect computers with USB A ports to your device ??

Thank You, the problem was traced to a disconnected cable.

This device is 100% compatible with computers that have USB-A ports. I don't even have a computer with a USB-C port for testing.

In theory, there shouldn't be any intermittent connection issues. I suggest you send a screen recording and the debug logs.
