Left-handed mouse buttons are not being respected

This is my first post here and after searching the KVM section I could find an answer.

For context; I’m a left-handed person, so I use the mouse in the left hand. This means that I swap the mouse buttons over in the Windows 11 settings so I can have the main mouse button under my index finger, the same as right-handed people do.

I connect to my Comet POE from a Windows 11 PC and connect into a second Windows 11 PC that I’m using as a Jellyfin server. Both of these PC’s are on the same account, so Windows 11 is syncing my settings between the two.

The problem; when I connect to the other PC I can no longer use the mouse correctly as my buttons appear to have been swapped over, so need to use the mouse button under my forefinger. This is making it fairly annoying to use the KVM. Tried both in the browser and in the app and both are the same.

Is there some setting I need to change so I don’t need to use the wrong buttons?

Something sinister may be going on (pun intended  ). It seems like both the host and client systems are swapping the mouse buttons for you. Can you configure the host as right-handed (assuming you don't often access it locally)?

I’ve tried that and it appeared to work, unfortunately when I exit the remote connection I find my main PC now has swapped buttons thanks to Windows 11 syncing the account across the two PC’s.

That's what I was afraid of. Maybe the team can implement a "left handed mouse" function to swap the buttons a third time and make it right (or left, as the case may be...). I'm guessing that's the only real change in left handed mouse mode, swapping the left and right click?

To summarize, when a left-handed user clicks the right mouse button the OS will present a primary mouse button message to the browser. You pass this through to the host OS and it sees a left click which it translates a second time to a secondary mouse button (right click). When a Left Handed Mouse mode is activated you just need to swap the buttons before passing it to the host which will then swap them back.

Yes, only those two buttons are swapped. Well thanks for trying, hopefully the dev’s can consider doing something about this as I can’t be the only left-hander using a sync’ed Windows account on the two PC’s.

I'm sure @minmie or @Flora72 or someone else will chime in soon. They've made more complex features that are more niche than this.

Thank you for raising this question. We will take the time to consider this requirement in order to enhance the user experience across different scenarios.
