Legacy devices cannot connect using WPA2-PSK/WPA3-SAE

Hello

I have a question regarding the WPA configuration options in the FLINT 2 router that I have. Prior to the acquisition of GL-MT6000 Flint 2, I used FritzBox 7590 AX router and the WPA Encryption using this router was set to WPA2+WPA3. My new devices connected to this router using Wi-Fi 6, and used WPA3, but older devices not capable of using Wi-Fi 6 and the modern encryption, used the WPA2 method considering the network as Wi-Fi 5

FritzWPA

Samsung Galaxy Note 9 for example is one of those devices not capable of connecting using WPA3, hence used WPA2.

I want to replace my FritzBox with my new and shiny GL-MT6000 Flint 2, and I have tried the latest firmware and then the latest beta 4.7.0, and in none of these versions I was able to configure the Flint 2 as my FritzBox. That is, if I configure the Flint 2 to use WPA2-PSK/WPA3-SAE then my Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and older devices can never connect to my Flint Wi-Fi. Only modern devices which consider this network as Wi-Fi 6 as well

Flint2WPA2-PSK

Since I currently have various devices that do not support WPA3, I have set the Wi-Fi security to a transmission/mixed mode, WPA2-PSK/WPA3-SAE, which theoretically means that that at least all of my devices that already support WPA3 can use it and the devices that only support WPA2 can continue to use WPA2, but no legacy device can even connect using WPA2. What am I doing wrong? Currently I had to select WPA2-PSK to let my legacy devices connect.

Afaik Wi-Fi 6 is not about the encryption but about the frequencies and bandwidths.

Change them to a lower standard. Maybe your devices don't support 160 MHz, for example.

Thanks, I will try that asap and let you know, though I vaguely remember doing so but to be sure I'll try again

Just tried and it didn't work. And I am talking about the 2.4 GHz which does not even have 160 MHz. The irritating thing about this is that once changed to mixed mode, there is no way to set it back from the UI as it was before. All devices will not connect back again until I reset the router with SSH using firstboot -y && reboot to completely reset the router!
