The MLO feature is designed to aggregate 2 bands, the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, to reach higher speed. On the Beryl 7, if your Wi-Fi 7 client uses and supports this feature, the theoretical speed can be ~3.5 Gbps (Assumes 2882 Mbps at 160 MHz on 5 GHz and 587 Mbps at 40 MHz on 2.4 GHz; hence the number in ‘MT3600BE’.). However, note that MLO’s focus is to provide lower latency and higher stability.
Wi-Fi 5 tops out at 867 Mbps (80 MHz), and it does not use MLO.
The Wi-Fi speed will be significantly faster than a 1 Gbps wired LAN, but wireless interference can slow down the speed. It is recommended to use a 2.5 Gbps wired if possible.
Products like the ASUS USB-BE92, or its nano version support Wi-Fi 7 and MLO. If you are planning on buying the product, note the Nano version only supports up to 480 Mbps due to USB 2.0

i am not playing internet games and have to use very slow internet.
i have a usb 3.0 superspeed with a 3.5” hard drive
the goal is to get the fastest speed for backing up files.
i did some testing using fastcopy and rclone on windows, to copy a 8.0GB .iso file
with the usb drive plugged into my windows laptop: TransRate = 184.4 MB/s TotalTime = 00:46
with the usb drive plugged into the beryl7 using built-in Network Storage Samba application
copying from my laptop, to the beryl7, over lan
— wired 1Gbps TransRate = 66.2 MB/s TotalTime = 02:08
— wifi-5 TransRate = 50.7 MB/s TotalTime = 02:47
so, what can, if anything, can i do, to get better speeds from my laptop to beryl7 over lan?
what would be the approx. real world max transfer rate?
