Looking into getting a travel router for an MSC Cruise for me to share one internet package with my family. I’ve read that they’re notoriously difficult to use on MSC. I haven’t bought the router yet so would anyone have advice as to which the best router these days would be? And the best instructions on how to use it. Thanks!
There is a very informative thread on MSC cruises already. You should be able to find it via search.
If you have an android phone, you may want to save yourself some money, and just run a proxy on the phone. No device for them confiscate, and you can carry it around the ship, so you are not stuck in your room to get WIFI. Just Google: cruise ship proxy.

The most recent thread on those is October 2025 and it seems like it works for some and not others. Just wondered if anyone had an opinion about what the best router would be to attempt this. Maybe some work better than others? Did anyone out there succeed within the last 3 months trying to do this. It seems like MSC is constantly updating to block the routers.
