Mango dropping WiFi

I have two GL-MT300N-V2 which I’m using as a VPN. The first (client) in connected to a BT network via a BT router (I’m in the UK). The second (server) is connected to a Trooli network via a ZyXEL router. When trying to start the WireGuard client it just says “starting client” and then after a short while drops the network connection. I’ve also noted that under “SYSTEM” in the admin panel the overview works as does “Advanced Settings” but the rest (Upgrade, Time Zone, etc.) say “Not found”. If I look under Applications>Plug-Ins that also says “Not Found” .

Router version is 4.3.25. I don’t know the WireGuard version but Its whatever came with the router or was downloaded by it.

I anyone can shed some light on how to get the VPN working I would be very grateful.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

For setting up a home VPN, please refer to the guide below, which provides detailed, step-by-step instructions:
Build your own WireGuard home server - GL.iNet Router Docs 4

If you run into any issues, you can refer to this WireGuard troubleshooting guide:
How to troubleshoot WireGuard

Please note that your home network must have a public IP address for this setup.

It appears the system has become corrupted for unknown reasons. Please try resetting the firmware to see if that resolves the issue.
Repair network or reset - GL.iNet Router Docs 4

I’ve been through all the trouble shooting steps and also reset the firmware at least 3 times. I seem to have solved the problem by downgrading the firmware in both client and server to 4.3.17.

Thanks for the update.

It's a bit odd, since we've already tested WireGuard server/client functionality working correctly in Mango v4.3.25.
But regardless, glad to hear the issue has been resolved.
