We’re currently in beta, and the formal release and launch are approaching quickly.
I think we can meet it in Q1 2026!
Thanks! we will consider that as well.
More than 1G.
About 1G (available part) is left for user.
You can follow the news about subscribing to Mudi 7; when it launches officially, there will be an ultra-early bird price for first batch.
The screen protector is needed for people who travel a lot with it and who have to carry it in their bags, I agree. It doesn't cost a lot but GL.iNet should take care of it or alternatively provide dummy units to 3rd party accessory companies do they can offer it.
Is there any more information which you can share on the “Ultra Early Bird” offer you mentioned? When can we expect it to happen so we stay alert on it and to how many spots will it be limited?
Will there be a countdown or something somewhere?
thanks!
@Dipin @bruce Can you clarifiy please if Mudi 7 will come with 3GPP Release 17 and if there is any plan for the future to update it via Firmware (in cooperation with Quectel und Qualcomm) to 3GPP Release 18?
This would make Mudi 7 pretty much future proof and improve greatly price/performance and competiveness Thanks.
Yes, we prefer to sell the accessories ourselves, if it needs.
We’ve noted this, and the PM team will evaluate it.
There will be a prompt on the Mudi 7 details page on the official website.
If you subscribe it to the email, you will also receive an email.
It will be equipped with modules supporting Release 17.
The current capability is R17, so I am afraid that it will not be possible to support R18 through OTA without changing the hardwares.
Hoping spare batteries will be available to purchase at product launch, my use case essentially requires me to travel with a spare battery.
The battery may be available at retail, but possibly a little later and not launching alongside the Mudi 7 (if have).
Surprise! Mudi 7 User Manual online ![]()
OTG-enabled USB-C port - GREAT !
@bruce If I´m not mistaken, you mentioned that Mudi 7 will have an option for power bypass of the battery when connected to AC so battery lifetime will improve (not all the time charged to 100% when not needed). However in the user manual this function seems not to be mentioned. Does it mean that this function won´t come or was it just forgotten in the user manual?
If I were to decide to purchase it, could it be mailed to China? Or would it have to be shipped through a transit service? I’m really looking forward to getting this product ![]()

Will the device have a proper airplane mode that can completely shut off the mobile network radios and potentially use it only as a wifi repeater?
Yes, it supports.
If to China, you probably need a transshipment service.
Thank you very much for your attention to Mudi 7!
I have asked the relevant colleagues to note this, and they will conduct a detailed evaluation.
Yep! It means the time until we meet may be getting closer!
(But still wait a bit — we’re working hard for some issues; please wait for the official release.)
It’s been achieved in hardware: there are smarter power and battery management chips. It will charge to 100%, and once it detects a full charge, stop charging and switch to direct power. You can remove the battery freely while the power adapter is connected without interrupting system operation.
This Docs for Mudi 7 is being update — besides the firmware Web UI features, it will also add an introduction to the screen’s functions.
Wouldn't a power bank be a better solution? If you have a Mudi 7, it must be that you have mobile devices or laptops too.
