Mjpeg-streamer dies on gl-inet based mt300n

Oh, as I mentioned way above, LEDE doesn’t work for me, they have changed some things which don’t allow some of the old packages I need to install.

https://downloads.openwrt.org/snapshots/targets/ramips/mt7620/

Find the snapshot image builder here.

Thank you, I’ll give it a try today hopefully.

I seem to be going in cirles now.
The package you suggest is LEDE. After building it, the repo is lading to gl.inet.

The first problem after building is;

opkg update

Downloading http://www.gl-inet.com/openwrt/ramips/2.261/packages/base/Packages.gz
Updated list of available packages in /var/opkg-lists/chaos_calmer_base
Downloading http://www.gl-inet.com/openwrt/ramips/2.261/packages/base/Packages.sig
Signature check failed.
Remove wrong Signature file.

Since it seems to be LEDE based, I am back to the original problem.
“incompatible with the architectures configured”

So, the next step might be to use image builder for the newer versions you mentioned but where can that be found?

Latest firmware version is v2.264 http://www.gl-inet.com/firmware/mt300n/v1/
v2.27 is here but not released http://www.gl-inet.com/firmware/testing/

Where can I find image builder for both of the above?

because for some reason it cannot reserve the settings when upgrade from old firmware.

This would not be an issue for me.

MT300N is not produced anymore but the firmware is still maintained.

Also asked above, what might be the equivalent then? LEDE won’t work for me right now as I’ll have to update all of my packages and trying to put that off for a while.

execute me.

Didn’t I post the link of openwrt in last post? You can download the latest imagebuilder of openwrt

https://downloads.openwrt.org/snapshots/targets/ramips/mt7620/

Yes, this is the one I used. I cannot find IB for either of the other two you mentioned.

So can you help me or not with IB for the latest version?

what do you mean the latest version?
Openwrt snapshot is the latest, isn’t it?

I downloaded the version you suggested but even though it is shown as openwrt, it is LEDE which doesn’t work for me.

I’ve also asked twice if you can suggest another model which would fit my needs as explained above :).

Hi, still waiting for an answer so I know what to buy :).

I asked this a long time ago;

I have no issues buying a newer model but which are absolutely known to work with mjpeg-streamer without problems?

I don’t need wireless and don’t need much beyond the mt300n in terms of resources but would like it to be ar71xx or ramips based so that my own software can continue to run.

Also, are V1 and V2 MT300N still using the same chaos calmer ramips based firmware?
Meaning, what I was using on V1, can it also be used on V2 models?

In terms of the camera, as I said, it is not a problem with the camera since I’ve used many, it is the mpeg-streamer program that crashes as soon as I connect to the web port 8080.

The best model works with mjpg-streamer is AR150. It is atheros chip. It support the most broad openwrt versions, from AA1209, BB1407, CC1505, LEDE17.01 to 1806

Ok but as mentioned, I can only use ar71xx and ramips versions which ran/run on the 6416 and the mt300n. Any new model I buy needs to be compatible as I cannot mod the software I am running right now.

I’m not sure who works at gl-inet or not here but could someone please respond to the last comment so I can order a new device to try it.

AR150 as I said.
thanks

The above is what you said, answering on mjpeg-streamer but my question isn’t that. My question is which device that is current could replace the mt300n I am using. It would need to be able to run the chaos calmer firmware that I am using on the mt300n.

I think you are saying yes to the target type as well based on the firmware I can see for it.

https://downloads.lede-project.org/releases/17.01.3/targets/ar71xx/generic/lede-17.01.3-ar71xx-generic-gl-ar150-squashfs-sysupgrade.bin

If that is the case, the part I am confused about is why I am being told the mt300n is old and no longer supported yet still in your product list while the ar150 is just as old isn’t it? What is the difference between the two in terms of manufacturing?

I did find this reply from you in another post.

MT300N is MTK chips and AR150 is Atheros Chips. AR150 has a very well-known low power-consumption chip, very stable, has more GPIOs, more extension modules, e.g. RTC. Works with BATMAN mesh protocol. It is a business choice. MT300N we only target consumer market and make it a router.

The AR150 is more expensive with only 150Mbps while the mt300n seems to have the very best middle ground of everything. Is the AR150 also going to be end of life soon? If you don’t keep some models around for a long time and at the same or lower prices, how do you expect customers that want to purpose re-sell these to do so? It will be a non stop game of trying to be in sync with what you have, what you change, etc etc.
