Hi,
Following Upgrade Quectel Module Software - GL.iNet Router Docs 4
If I download the RM520 firmware to my MT3000 I run out of space on unzip.
Can I connect a USB Hub to my MT3000, can it be a powered Hub?

The doc said that it needs USB flash drive. What’s the need for a hub?
EDIT:
Maybe you can try to install Quectel windows drivers and do the the upgrade using QFlash instead rather than relying on a USB hub and QFirehose. It’s a pretty easy process and also did it a few times now.
Driver: Quectel_Windows_USB_Driver(Q)_NDIS_V2.6.0.zip - Google Drive
QFlash: QFlash_V6.5_EN_2.zip - Google Drive
Just install the drivers first then check Device Manager under COM devices if AT and DM ports are present. QFlash uses DM port so if it is present then it is possible to use my recommended method instead. However, ask GL inet team first for assurance.
