MT3000 Beryl AX power up sequence issue

I use my Beryl AX with a Motorola SURFboard SB6121. This combination works well except I have to apply a special power-up sequence to get them to talk together. I must disconnect the ethernet cable between the router and modem prior to powering them both up. After the modem and router boot up, I can then reconnect the ethernet cable between them. Only then will the Beryl AX establish a connection with the modem. I've tried powering up the modem first, and also the router first with the ethernet cable connected but the Beryl AX refuses to establish a connection. This is an issue because I use the Beryl AX at my summer home and monitor cameras and temperature through the internet while not there. If power is interrupted, I lose my remote connection, and it will not come back up unless I have someone power them down and use the described above. Has anyone seen this issue and can someone think of a solution? Thanks

I have seen it. It won't get an IP address and a lan cable had to be replugged. Never found a solution and just returned the router.

You could set up an UPS just for the router and the modem.

Is the connection DHCP?

Do you have the log from Beryl AX when it failed to get IP?

Thank you for replying. I jumped the gun posting this topic. After troubleshooting further, I found that the Beryl AX eventually does connect after powering up both devices with the ethernet cable connected. It simply takes much longer than expected. After the modem connects with the internet the Beryl AX shows “getting” the DNS Server for several minutes, but eventually finds it and establishes a connection.

Thanks for the feedback.

Anyway if you can get me the log it may help.
