I have been unable to use the repeater function or connect to any wifi. I’ve tried both latest stable as well as the snapshot build.
My phone and laptop can connect to this router as well as the other router with no problem. There are no MAC restrictions
Try to set a Random MAC address a few times. Somehow mine only eventually connects when I do this.

While attempting to reconnect, your router will periodically scan for Wi-Fi networks, and your guest Wi-Fi network will be temporarily unavailable during the scan.
Bump?. Have no idea what to try next
Maybe you can reset the device or update the latest firmware
Long shot, but also try to change the country code in Luci (under Network → MTK WiFi). Use latest stable 4.2.2 sw.
Who knows if the router is streaming from just one of the few WiFi channels not available in your region?
