Download and upgrade manually from GL.iNet download center
Upgrade it in the GL GUI -> System -> Upgrade -> Local Upgrade
tried with Local Upgrade, but same behavior:
install 100%
BUT version remains 4.6.2
Make reset and then try to upgrade.
Not that this helps OP, but I manually upgraded my Beryl AX this morning without issue. Everything showed 4.6.4 with no apparent problems.
What was displayed in the upgrade process page at the end?
Try another one browser, like Edge/Chrome/Firefox
Tried clearing your browser cache?
ok, but I do not want to loose the configuration (if possible)
ok, many thanks for your feedback
Can you power cycle the router and try again?
tried with firefox and chrome
after install I get the login page, and upgrade remainder after login
Pls let me know if power cycle the router works or not. If not maybe you can try upgrade in ssh and give me the output.
tried power cycle, but 4.6.2 again
ssh command for upgrading ?
sysupgrade /root/firmware_file_name.tar
command:
sysupgrade openwrt-mt3000-4.6.4-0904-1725421504.tar > sysupgrade.log 2>&1
sysupgrade.log:
Fri Sep 20 10:36:26 CEST 2024 upgrade: Image not in /tmp, copying...
Fri Sep 20 10:36:33 CEST 2024 upgrade: Saving config files...
Cannot parse config file '/etc/fw_env.config': No such file or directory
Fri Sep 20 10:36:34 CEST 2024 upgrade: Commencing upgrade. Closing all shell sessions.
And then, after the reboot, does the firmware version updated?
NO, the firmware was always 4.6.2.
Then I did a reset for other problems and after that the upgrade has been successful.
As I explained in the previous post, resetting works wonders on GLI devices.
Now before any upgrade i do the same.
