MT3000 speed drops to 100 mbps in wired LAN port

Hi,

I've got a Google Wifi mesh with at least reaching 500 mbps.
The main repeater is wired to the MT3000, but the mesh is not achieving the whole speed supplied by the ISP, wich is 500 mbps and working fine.

  • If Google Wifi is wired to the IPS router, it reaches the speed.
  • Any device connected to the MT3000 via WiFi is reaching the speed.

So, here the LAN port is slowing the speed up to 100 mbps, both download and upload speeds.

There's not any limitation in the speed in the config menu. It's set to Unlimited, no values at all.

Could you please show a topology figure to clear to know?

Which device LAN port up to 100Mbps?
If MT3000, please try updating firmware to the beta v4.7.0, to check what port negotiate speed in the network port management

The WAN port is 2.5 Gbps and it might be sensitive to a bad cable. Try to replace the cable with a CAT 6A patchcord.

The WAN cable is correct, as the Wifi speed through MT3000 is working well and the cable is the one supplied by the company itself.

Do you still recommend me.the beta version? I'm not fan of betas. I've got 4.6.9 version

The WiFi speed via the MT3000 works well, so ->LAN -> Google WiFi speed not well?

  1. How about the eth1 interface status:
    ethtool eth1

  2. If the Google WiFi has other more LAN interface, try check the wired port speed of Google WiFi.
If it does not have other wired port, laptop connects to the LAN of MT3000, and test the speed.

Did you resolve that problem? i got it too

beta also show me 100mbit

Hello,

  1. I d like to know what devices are connected to the peer? Does the interface support 1000Mbps connection?

  2. Does other devices connect to this LAN port and support up to 1000Mbps?

  3. You can try to unplug it multiple times to see if there is any improvement.
If no luck, please contact my colleagues support@gl-inet.com and cite this thread.

i connected a MT6000, a 2,5gig usb network card and a AVM Fritzbox at the 2,5gbit ports.
no improvement. also different 1gig devices like lenovo notebook, some switches and some docking stations.. also tried cat 8 cables..

strange,, also with the stock FW

The peer of this network port declares that it is only 10/100Mbps from this part.

Not sure whether there is a hardware problem with the MT3000 network port.
