MT300N-V2 with Huawei E3372

Hello all,

I’m trying to get set up with an MT300N-V2 and a Huawei E3372 Dongle. I’ve confirmed that the dongle works with a PC and can connect okay. Both devices firmware is up to date.

I’ve followed the instructions from here Using the Huawei E3372 Hi-Link LTE Dongle with OpenWRT – Protyposis

When I conncet the dongle to the router it appears to be recognised as a tethering device and looks like it is connecting to the internet (rx and tx numbers are appearing in the luci interface).

However I cannot connect to the internet from any devices and I cannot reach or ping the 192.168.8.1 address of the dongle. (router is set to 192.168.8.2)

Anybody have any idea where I’m going wrong? If you need any more info or screenshots just let me know and I’ll provide it.

Thanks,
David

You need to change the router’s LAN IP from 19.168.8.x to something else, as the dongle uses the same.

Thanks, that sorted it!
