MT6000 Dumb AP (Access Point) leave FW, DNS and DHCP services running

Is it ok to leave the Firewall, Dnsmask and Odhcpd services active when using the MT6000 in Access Point (AP) mode?

I have already set DHCP and DHCPv6 servers to ignore/disable the LAN interface, and to do not start on Boot the WAN and WAN6 interfaces.

Thanks

Leave them on. It’s easier this way during upgrades

Thank you, is that because during upgrades those services will be restored? What about the WAN and WAN6 interfaces that I disabled to start on boot, will those be reactivated again during a system upgrade?

  1. Yes.
  2. No.
