Hi folks, apologies if this is a repost i didnt see my scenario from the search.
I flashed the mt6000 as per the openwrt guide and it went fine. I decided i want to roll back to the factory firmware.
I have followed the glinet de brick procedure as per:
This has worked successfully as the wifi comes up with the oroginal ssid, pw etc.
However on going to the admin page at 192.168.8.1 it still looks like openwrt. I have done this twice now, i dont know why this is.
I have also tried to update the firmware through the openwrt admin page and again it looked like openwrt but there seemed to be some corruptions (i dont have the screenshots) (edit: i have added one attached).
Please can someone advise what to do else perhaps it is not possible but i find that surprising given the de brick guide.
Many thanks in advance sorry if i missed something.
Since this issue is more a "I used my router with some other, non-official, firmware" issue than a real GL issue, I don't know if updating the docs is suitable.
It definitely is suitable. The de bricking page states this...
"You may have bricked your router if you were doing some DIY projects or flashed a wrong firmware"
So its in scope. Not to mention a single line on that page as a small change would help a lot of people, plus reduce forum posts and support tickets. Its a quick win, whoever owns this service i would think will jump at that.
