MT6000 - Wifi Channel Issue

Just wondering, why can’t I manually select a channel for 5GHZ wifi SSID without it failing to work? The wifi (set as hidden) cant then be detected. I have to leave it on auto and it works fine. Other wifi channels in my surround area are all on the same range.

I would say this is a bug as it used to be working when I got the router and it works fine when I’m on OpenWRT.

Im currently on 4.8.3.

Hello,

  1. After manually selecting a channel, how to determine it fails to work? Which channel was selected? Can't save configuration?
  2. As long as you set SSID to hidden, it will not be displayed in the client WiFi list; you can only connect manually. "Other..." in iOS, "Add a new network" in Windows, etc.
  3. You mentioned that it works fine when using OpenWRT, is this Vanilla OpenWRT?
  4. If possible, please attach a screenshot.
