MT6000 won't connect to Internet Repeater mode

Just got this MT6000 (I also have a Beryl MT1300, and an AXT1800 slate. Am trying to use the router in repeater mode (wifi), as that is the only way I can connect this part of the house to another router in another part of the house (cannot use an ethernet connection). It does connect to the other router (not GliNet), but there is no Internet. Can't figure out what is happening. Haven't upgraded firmware yet but I doubt that is the problem. It will give internet via the guest wifi, but none through the standard wifi channel or ethernet.

What I've tried:
factory reset
changing to various addresses from the default 192.168.8.1.
ping the gateway of the other router (conneceted to the modem) = unreachable
pinging 8.8.8.8 or 9.9.9.9 = unreachable
ping my phone when it is connected to MT6000 = works correctly
using my phone to ping google: 100% loss

  1. the issue screenshot, like GL GUI - Internet - Repeater

  2. Use MT1300 or AXT1800 to compare tests, can they repeater connection be available?

  3. The magic is that Guest WiFi is available, but the private WiFi and wired are not available? Is this true?

  1. Provide issue syslog after repeater connected.

  2. SSH to the router:

and ping the primary WiFi router IP

Yes, my MT1300 and AXT-1800 have no problem connecting and working correctly. See attached pic. Yes, it's true, Guest wifi can access the internet; Primary cannot either through RJ-45 or wifi.

  1. No key information is seen in the log. Please provide issue syslog again when the step 4 complete and issue occurs again.
  2. Checked all the configurations you attached, and there is no problem. (It is ip r,not ip -r, but it does not matter.)
  3. The private WiFi and LAN can not access, but the guest WiFi can access. That's amazing. Maybe the "br-lan" interface gateway is configured incorrectly..
  4. Please upgrade the firmware to latest 4.7.0 without 'keep settings', and re set-up the repeater again.

It's no wonder I had a problem. The router must not have been new. There was an address in the DNS under /Network/Lan. That kept everything from working correctly. I did upgrade to 4.7, and also saved settings. Think I'll re ugrade and wipe settings.

What the DNS address is? you manual set up or automatic obtain from primary?
If manual set up, can select the recommended DNS group.
