Mudi 7: Ethernet cable is hard to remove

Hi, when I plug an Ethernet cable into my GL.iNet Mudi 7, it’s very hard to remove, and I have to wiggle it around a lot before it finally comes out. Is anyone else having this issue?

Couple of people have mentioned this in Discord and having to use tools to get them out, so you are not alone.

What's the reason? What tools are being used?

I think one person had to use a knife to get it out. I don’t have a Mudi 7 so I don’t know why it’s getting stuck but I’m sure others will elaborate. Or head over to Discord and someone will likely be happy to talk about their issues with this also

Ethernet connectors being boxed under flaps are usually hard to remove since you don’t have a solid grasp on the rj45 connector, we had similar issues with jawbone connector on our laptops. You can mitigate the issue using specific ethernet cables.

when testing the mudi7, i used these cables from cable matters - Amazon.com: Cable Matters 10Gbps Snagless Shielded Cat 6A Ethernet Cable - 10ft, Cat 6A Cable, Cat6A Cord, Ethernet Cord, Green : Electronics

not having an issue getting this variant out of the router.

Are you having difficulty operating the clip on the Ethernet connector? Could you possibly record a video to show us the issue?
