Currently have the mudi setup with a tmobile sim in the USA. Speeds are about 200+ everytime I check. On my pc when connected to the mudi via wifi, I can stream youtube without any issues using my broswer at any quality I select. However, if I connect my onn google tv device using wifi to the mudi I can barely get a few secs of youtube video and then constant buffering. The Onn Google tv for those that may be unfamiliar is a streaming device with google tv as the OS. I have it connected to my tv and it works fine when connected to my home internet. Tried ttl 65 and 64 but the issues are the same. I tried nordvpn but that was worst. I tried selecting even 720p but still the same. Any thoughts?
Go to fast.com on a device connected to your Mudi and let me know what speeds you are getting. Also on the Onn, if you have Netflix, go into settings, network, and run a speed test.
I reset everything and tried torguard vpn. It appears tmobile is trottling the speeds. Anyway around this besides a vpn and why only the google device and not my pc? Asking because I dont believe netflix and a few other apps will play nice with the vpn. I will play around with the policy based routing to see how that works meanwhile. Fast.com speeds is average 230 with the few tests I ran.

im interested in this convo – can you provide a link to reddit? ive got the same setup mostly – tmo in LA and using a calyx sim. i have a protonvpn setup and changed to ttl so tmo wont see this as a router.
i THINK my speeds are decent but havent really checked – still interested because it may be helpful info…
I reset everything for a 2nd time and it is working as of now. No clue what happened but all is good as of now. Thanks to @Sskanse for the help as well!
