Phone number formatting issue
I couldn’t receive SMS from my iPhone and managed to do so after turning off iPhone’s RCS feature in messaging settings.
But then, I couldn’t reply back from Mudi 7 to my iPhone and I noticed the phone number that used to start with 01766 now starts with 491766. I am assuming this is a bug that the device is not taking the 00 or plus sign required before full international numbers.
I then manually sent a separate SMS to my number with the plus sign, instead of pressing the Reply button to the SMS that I received from my iPhone. So the culprit was the Reply function doesn’t format the phone number properly.
Emoji issue
Also, no emojis work either way. They get stripped out entirely. I can only see the emojis on each sender device, but when received in other device, they are non-existent or mess with the message like this example:
I sent this message from Mudi 7 to my iPhone 16 Pro:
![]()
![]()
![]()
![]()
![]()
Emoji ![]()
![]()
![]()
![]()
![]()
![]()
But my iPhone received SMS that was empty. It literally said “empty message” on notification. I was expecting to receive just “Emoji” as text though.
