Mudi - Poor wifi performance and 5G band issue

Hello,

I am a new customer and just received my Mudi router a couple of weeks ago.
I inserted a sim card that gives me between 100 and 300 Mbps when used in my iphone.
On the Mudi, using the LAN port I get at best 90 Mbps and when using the 2.4 Ghz wifi, 60 Mbps at best. Very often less than that.
I have enabled the 5Ghz wifi but it’s invisible to any of my devices (iPhone 14, computer with Wifi6E, laptops…).
Is there any way to improve the wifi performance ? I have tried different channels and transmit power settings but it doesn’t seem to help much.

Thanks

I just made several tests using Wifi and I’m getting 16 Mbps. I don’t really need very high bandwidth since I planned to use it for remote working but at this level it is problematic for videos calls.
Unless I can find a way to improve it , I’ll return the router.

Due to hardware limitations,2.4G WIFI rate cannot reach very high, it is recommended that you try to use 5GHz Wifi, it should be noted that by default, 5g and 2.4g wifi names are the same, you can change the name of 5gwifi to ensure that you are connected to wifi of this frequency

Hello,

Yes I did, at first I Was using the same SSID but I noticed that all my devices were connected using 2.4Ghz.
I then changed the SSID for the 5 Ghz Wifi network but as I said above, the SSID doesn’t show up at all in any of my devices. I also tried disabling 2.4 Ghz but then I don’t see any SSID.

I have just changed the bands from 20/40/80 Mhz to 80 Mhz only and now I can see it.
Speed test seems better at around 50 Mbps.

Regarding the 4G speeds, I’m guessing it’s because the internal modem doesn’t support the same bands as the iPhone ?

Can you tell me your mobile phone model? We will test for this phenomenon.

iPhone 14 Pro Max.
I was also unable to see it from my desktop computer that has an Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX200 supporting channel bandwidth: HT20/HT40/HT80/HT160
