Mudi V2 cannot be a repeater? Plus: airplane mode for V2

Hi All,

when my router cannot connect to the home router, the error says “request time out, please check ****”. and the mudi router then keep losing connection by asking credential. so basically my mudi router cannot be treated as repeater to connect to home router why? both routers own two different IP’s.

Plus:

Just read this: Use Mudi button for airplane mode - #3 by GooblyGob

Per @alzhao , there is a script to cut cellular or turn airplane mode on. Can anyone share the script that prove works?

Thank you!!

When the repeater fails, can you connect back to the Mudi and get the log?

Mudi cannot connect to the home router at all. It keep saying failing connect to the home router as well as mudi loses connection itself and constantly ask ssid credential. There is no log because it cannot connect to the home router…

Hi can you please help on this??

I understand you are saying it cannot connect to your home wifi.
But I mean, you connect to your Mudi and get its log.

There is no “export bug info” or anywhere that I can get the log for connecting mudi solely. I have the operating frequency from home router see below, not sure if it’s compatible to mudi. Please shed lights…Thanks

Hi, Please help on above. this is with the problematic router.

new found: mudi can connect to another home router but 2.4Gz only, once connecting to 5Gz, it constantly asks 5Gz’s SSID creds and finally failed to connect and the 5Gz signal disappeared completely…

They are away for the holidays.

got message replied for another topic…

Hi

Could you please clarify the following:

  1. Which firmware version are you currently using? You can find it under GL Admin Panel → System → Upgrade.
  2. Please try connecting the device to Wi-Fi a few times, then export the logs as described below and send them to us via private message.

How to export logs:

How to send private messages:

This is a bit of a stab in the dark, but when you ask the Mudi or another travel router to connect in Wisp mode (repeater), the wifi will disconnect to reconfigure. The device that you have connected to the Mudi may then search for another wifi signal to connect to, particularly if it is a home router. Then you will get the "time out" error. Are you sure your device is still trying to reconnect to the Mudi?
