I tested and compared my Puli and Mudi. Placed both to the same place on my desk and even if the Mudi's reception is pretty poor both able to see several towers and build up an aggregated connection. But only Puli able to show correctly the type of the connection while Mudi always shows "4G" on the GUI even if it is clearly connected to more than one tower.
Also the OLED display show LTE always. Not sure is it intentional but would be helpful if both the GUI and the display could show the correct connection type. Btw I would recommend to drop using the therms and use only the generations on the display too. Easier to read.
Already did many resets. So it is clearly not related with any configuration or user setting. Firmware version is 4.7.2 beta.
Hi @ViBE my device is unable to establish an aggregated connection due to the network environment. Could you insert your sim card into the router and check if the connection type displayed on the GUI is correct now?
Good to know. Please also replace all the terms with the generations. As I understand all of these are independent strings on the display. When the Mudi connected only one tower it showed LTE instead of 4G. Thanks.
@Cathy Now I am using 4.8.3 beta. Just for the record: the GUI still not shows if the connection is 4G+. It still not differentiate it from 4G. And the display still shows LTE instead of 4G. So it still shows the terms instead of generations.
Hi, after confirmed with our team, when router connects to CA, the OLED will display as 4G+ to distinguish it from the LTE network. The main issue might be that router cannot detect it's connected to CA.
Would you mind to share device with us to verify the issue?
Share is on. Btw as I noticed the hint shows up when CA (which says that 4G+ might be displayed as 5G) is available, but the icon on the GUI won't change.
