Multiwan on Spitz AX

Hi, I just got Multwan (failover) working on my Spitz AX. It is working well, but there is one issue I’d like to see addressed.

It seems there is no way to tell from looking at the router which wan interface is being used. In my case my main interface is Starlink (ethernet 1) and secondary is a sim card. When I look at the lights on top of the router, there is no way to tell what interface is active. The wifi lights blink with their activity, why can’t the cellular light blink with activity as well? It would be nice to have a visual indication so I don’t use lots of data thinking that I’m on unlimited ethernet data instead of sim data. It would also be nice to have an electronic alert (email or text) sent to me when the interface fails over so I’m aware of the switch.

Agreed. We need that if multiwan is to be a serious feature.

I agree that some sort of alert would be beneficial. I have two sim cards in my X3000 (with fail over not intentionally enabled unless the default is enabled) and was using sim 1 with unlimited data. The next day I get an email from from the sim 2 provider (not unlimited data) alerting me that I had used up all my data. I’m assuming that sim 1 somehow stopped working and the router switched over to sim 2.
