My company has VPN IP addresses blocked, now what?

My company has blocked VPN IP addresses. If I install VPN software on the machine or have my router with a VPN client and my computer connects to it, the internet doesn't work on my company's device but it does on my personal devices. I figured they have the IPs from commercial VPNs blocked. Now what?

I got two Beryl AX routers. One I'm using as a client and one as a server. My idea is to simulate I'm working from new york.

What do I need to get this working, based on what I have read, I need:

  • Wireguard Server or OpenVPN Server on my server router
  • The configuration file from my server router to be used on my client router
  • Do I need to activate the internet kill switch?
  • Do I need to do Port forwarding?
  • Do I need to have a public or private DDNS from my ISP?
  • Can I test if this works if I'm under the same network as my server router?
  • Anything else?

If my understanding is correct, I assume this idea available, and the premise is the company never block your Server IP (Beryl AX).

  1. One of them, recommend WG.
  1. Correct.
  1. Sure. GL VPN client support Killswitch. Permanently enabled and cannot be disabled.
  1. If the Beryl AX is not the primary router (behind the ISP router), so require to do port forwarding in the primary router.
  1. Have to, public IP mandatory, GL support DDNS
  1. Recommend difference network.
