My work laptop is sending weird requests to my Flint

I recently received a new company laptop and it's connected to my Flint via ethernet.
I noticed that it's sending weird discovery requests to my Flint.

I want to shut this bastard down from trying to discover my Flint.

What do you guys think about this in the NGINX logs?

2024/12/12 08:59:02 [error] 4659#0: *16848 open() "/www/auth/discovery" failed (2: No such file or directory), client: 192.168.88.56, server: , request: "GET /auth/discovery?architecture=9 HTTP/1.1", host: "192.168.88.1"

Thanks

The "bastard" is your company :wink:
It's a Cisco VPN client mostly.

Yes that's correct this new laptop is using the Cisco Anyconnect client.

It seems crazy intrusive to me that it would try and do a HTTP GET to the Flint.

Why?

God only knows whatever intrusive scanning it might be doing on my internal home network.
I'm thinking it's time to install a little mini PC to run an Opensense Firewall at home.

Thanks admon

Guess it tries to detect if you are inside or outside your company.
