Wanted to replace my Slate Plus with something newer due to AdGuardHome not really working right.
Brand new Beryl, out of the box, only change is to update to latest firmware.
If connected to my home wifi, getting to internet is fine.
If connected to iPhone (tried multiple) hotspot, I can ping to an internet address, but cannot traceroute, or browse. NSLookup works fine, so DNS is resolving.
"Does 5G vendor allow tethering?" I hear you ask - Yes, both iPhones allow browsing when used as hotspot for Slate plus (or any number of other laptop/table devices).
What is different here between Slate Plus & Beryl AX? Nothing I can see in the config that jumps out. What logs can I look at to solve this?
Network engineer as day job, so know my way around IP/routing etc.
