New firmware version 4.7 being released for beta testing

I'm waiting for GL to fork asu or owut.
Imagine if GL ran an ASU server that required the serial number of your GL device, it would then advise of the upgrade but then make sure all the added plugins are also kept and updated.

Thank you for your feedback, we will take note of your needs and consider them carefully!

I have a small suggestion, maybe you could add in the clients tab, device type, NAS device?

This is not entirely true.

Either a developer chooses to compile with pre configuration baked in, such configurations are for wifi, but also the network configuration, they all get taken from /rom/ which is read only.

But why it doesn't hold always true lays also in the differences, you cannot mix mtk sdk configurations with configurations from op24, because the driver references are different, instead op24 is closer to standard openwrt.

Also configuration from a clean distribution to op24 might not fully work with the kept settings, it will boot and may appear functional but likely it will miss the firewall markings for vpn stuff, the vpn logic is very different than standard openwrt.

There may still interopability issues with backups/versions, which can make unintended effects

About internal gl ui stuff you are fully correct. :+1:

I've installed on my Brume 2, and I find the goodcloud icon location ugly on the main dashboard.
This is because I have multiple GL-iNet devices installed for family and friends, so I don't need them clicking unbind so that I can't manage their devices on Goodcloud.

Thank you for your feedback, do you mean that the icon of goodcloud is not nice, and also you think that this cloud service unbundling function is not practical for you? I'm not sure if I'm understanding you correctly.

Does have statistics traffic each clients? Thanks

I do not believe it should be there on the dashboard, the location is wrong.

My Brume 2 no longer turns up in Goodcloud as a site2site end point after updating to 4.7?
Shows up as a bound device but it's not available for a site2site tunnel?

Just a wild guess from my side: The S2S feature will be replaced by Astrowarp in the future - maybe that's why it does not work on 4.7 anymore. But maybe it's just an bug, @alzhao ?

Interesting theory
But as I've got marble, velica, opal and mango to support, I don't see astrowarp coming to the velica.

Just flashed this firmware yesterday :+1:

So far i like most of the new gl ui things the little tutorial is very handy and inuititve for new users.

The wifi setup is usefull on first setup, the styling could maybe still have a little uplift (maybe it was broken for me after comming from u-boot) font types looked different and background was to light maybe a opacity of .3 looks much cleaner to make the gradient can come more true, a black boxed inner shadow may also work with .3 opacity background rgba can used for that it will blend much more cleaner😃.

I also like the new little tutorials.

But i noticed everytime when you login from a mobile phone this window keeps filling up the screen, so i want to give feedback about this

i think it would be nice to make a opt out button because it can annoy a user really fast once a user becomes more used on the ui.

And i also noticed new automated vpn profiles, this looks really nice :+1:

Managed to add GL-MT6000 to Goodcloud after a few error messages but cannot do it for the GL-MT3000 no matter what I have tried. Keeps throwing the error that connection has failed (or something along these lines) after inputing my goodcloud credentials!

Please be patient, we need to verify this issue on Brume 2 and will get back to you as soon as we make progress!

Currently there are no detailed statistics on the traffic per client, we have plans to do this feature.

Agreed, there should be some quick setup with the option to display detailed instructions for new users. Make a video and add a qr code for folks that prefer visual learning.

Can you add a third IoT network in GL-MT6000 firmware integrated in your firmware ?
(I know it can be done thru luci).
Also can you add more control in wifi on off settings ? per day for example. For example for weekends i want to be off 3:00 AM to 8:00 AM and weekdays 2:00 AM to 7:00 AM.
And custom DoT servers will be a welcome change.
Thank you.
