New firmware version 4.8 being released for beta testing

I dropped 4.8.0 on my GL-X3000 this morning, and other than having to find familiar items in new places, it seems to work pretty well.
Some observations (T-MO in the US):

  • The landing page UI redesign is a lot cleaner, although I have to relearn it again
  • I like that the cell connection has the option to use IPv4 only, IPv6 only, or both, although it's a little hard to find at first. My connection allows for both.
  • My custom cell configuration (I need a specific APN) was lost in the upgrade, even though I chose "keep settings"
  • My custom uhttpd (LuCI) listening setup (used uci in SSH to add IPv6 listeners) was also lost in the upgrade
  • The "Internet is not reachable using IPv6" warning is very useful (likely one for IPv4, as well), but may cause concern among users who don't know that IPv6 connectivity can take longer to establish than IPv4 on some carriers
  • Network -> LAN produces an "Unknown Error" popup error and shows an empty DHCP range. If I try to populate the range, the error is produced, and the range is empty again. Oddly, the br-lan DHCP service is functioning just fine.
  • (added) the router IP address in DHCP setting was entered as 192.168.8.1/24. When I changed it to 192.168.8.1 and chose a /24 subnet in the netmask field, the default DHCP range appeared and the errors stopped.
  • Network -> Guest Network also produces an error, but correctly indicates that the guest network is disabled
  • (added) after correcting the IP address in the LAN page, the Guest network error popups stopped.
  • The log has repeated "gl_ble_daemon is in a crash loop 6 crashes, 2 seconds since last crash" entries, preceded by several instances of "gl_ble_daemon: (ble_manage.c52) gl_ble_init failed: 1" I can provide a zip of the logs if it'll help.
  • My GoodCloud configuration (and commnunication) is working jes' fine, jes' fine.
  • (added) Wireless settings are completely blank. Literally nothing there. No errors, just nothing on the page.
  • (added) ZeroTier configuration is accepted and properly applied, but this page repeatedly pops up the "Unknown Error Occurred"
  • (added) I had a bad IP assignment in ZeroTier. Once I fixed that, both the ZeroTier and Wireless settings issues were resolved
