New Router Setup Fail (Velica)

I’ve been trying on and off all weekend trying to get a pair of Velica devices set up - a major fail as the app just wouldn’t connect to them. It would find them (most of the time) but then proceeded to give a red error warning saying Connection timed out immediately after pressing on the device icon to connect.

I’ve reset them both many times, I’ve turned off mobile data and disconnected from my current wifi network, even tried a different phone to set it up (both Android)……all to no avail.

In what way does the app connect to to the Velica upon first setup?

It’s been highly frustrating to say the least.

Thank you for your feedback.
We were able to reproduce the issue locally and will ask the development team to investigate.

If you don’t need to use the Mesh feature at this time, you can also simply connect to the B2200’s LAN port via an Ethernet cable and access 192.168.8.1 to complete the initial setup.

We have released app version 2.7.6 to fix this issue.
