No internet connection behind modem in bride mode

Hello,
I would like to use a GL-AX1800 behind a Vodafone cable modem that works in bridge mode. The GL-AX1800 gets a connection to the cable modem and the public IP addresses are displayed, but the connection to the Internet does not work.
What could be the reason for this?

Can you ping the internet (so ping 9.9.9.9 and ping forum.gl-inet.com)?

No, that does not work.

I have the solution:

  1. Log in to the Luci interface (System->Advanced Settings)
  2. Go to Network->Interfaces->WAN->Edit->Advanced Settings
  3. Enter any value under “Vendor Class to send when requesting DHCP”, e.g. glinet.
