No internet if i enable SQM or QOC on flint 2 4.9.0 beta2 OP24

I m using 4.9.0 beta2 OP24 on Flint2, If i enable SQM or QOS i lost internet connection, on client and router, i have another router with same version and the problem is not reproduced on second router.

Restore the backup from the working router to the non working one. This is mostly a config error.

the 2 routers has different config each one is used in different context

I currently don’t have a functioning flint2 to check but you can either

  1. Reset the not working one as the firmware isn’t at fault (since the other one works)
  2. Check that alternate conflicting settings like flow offloading is disabled.

@Aashish.007 thanks for answer, I still searching a solution before trying reset,

Hi

Could you please follow the guide and share your device with us via GoodCloud so we can check this issue remotely?

Kindly note to send us the MAC address and the router password via private message so we can access it

I am also running 4.9 op24 on my flint 2. I have enabled sqm, and it worked as intended in the main ssid.

But when I connect to the separate guest network, the device ignores the SQM rule and goes beyond the limit. Is this intended? On the other hand, the QoS limit worked within both the main and guest ssid

Yes, this is expected behavior.

At the moment, SQM is applied only to br-lan (the Main LAN network).

If you would like SQM to apply to the Guest network as well, you can manually install luci-app-sqm and configure it in LuCI to use the active WAN interface instead:

  1. SSH into the router and install luci-app-sqm:
opkg update && opkg install luci-app-sqm
  1. Go to LuCI → Network → SQM QoS and change the interface:

We will consider improving this behavior in a future firmware release.
