No internet when "Block Non-VPN Traffic" enabled

VPN is set to “Global Proxy” and connected via an CloudConnexa OpenVPN client config.

The VPN works fine, except the “Block Non-VPN Traffic” option doesn’t work when enabled.

Unable to ping external IP’s.

Not sure what else to try.

Device Model:

Model
GL.iNet GL-MT3000
Architecture
ARMv8 Processor rev 4
Openwrt Version
OpenWrt 21.02-SNAPSHOT r15812+879-46b6ee7ffc
Kernel Version
5.4.211

I’m dealing with this right now as well, have you found a solution? I want to make sure nothing leaks, but when I enable ‘Block Non-VPN Traffic’ none of my devices can access the internet.

I’m using NordVPN OpenVPN connection. Tried enabling/disabling adguard home/tailscale to see if that messes with things, but apparently not

Ideas how to debug this?

Since you can’t even ping an IP it shouldn’t be a name resolution issue, it should be a straight routing issue I’m suspecting

Would be interesting to see the results of nslookup forum.gl-inet.com and ping 9.9.9.9 when you experience the outtage.
