Hi. So now I’ve got NordVPN I’ve added it to Brume 2. I assume the fact the Nord logo is showing under vpn client, Glinet now supports NordLynx natively? My other query is servers. When I get the access token and look at vpn client country options, why does it only show Seattle? It shows 20 servers in Seattle but no other location in America. However when I load the iOS or Apple TV Nord app, I can choose a huge number of locations throughout the whole of America. What’s going on?
I’ve just emailed Nord Support about this API flaw. Interesting to see what they say. I’ve also sent them a screenshot from gl.iNet nord selection screen. Expect they will say they’ve never heard of it and it’s a Gl.Inet issue. LOL.
Nord have just come back to me saying it’s basically a fault with Gl.INet, not them:
“” Unfortunately, as the Pre-built NordVPN configuration was made by Gl.Inet themselves, there's not much we can do to assist. It's outside our scope of support.””
I did reference the API but they’ve said it’s a Gl.INet issue?
Just wanted some clarification really as Nord were telling me they had no involvement in the Gl.INet integration. And they’ve basically said to me the integration was a bit of a hack as it’s not supported by them. So I was interested to know where this 20 server limit comes from when Nord had no involvement?
Pretty sure because GL reverse engineered the Nord API somehow, I guess. More for convenient usage of the router than for being in partnership with Nord. @bruce Maybe you can do an more or less official statement here?
We never reverse engineered the Nord or related anything.
We have cooperation with Nord, and they provide the APIs, otherwise how can Nord allow APIs to obtain such important information such as VPN profiles, and also can login to the NordVPN credentials in GL GUI.
