[Now Working] GL-AR750 - Can't port forward, admin panel accessable through my public IP

I have a GL-AR750 connected to a basic cable modem. I have a web service running on one of my machines that is statically assigned to a private IP address - 192.xxx running on port 8080. I’m able to access the server (it’s a Web UI) using it’s private IP address with no issues. I port forwarded 8080 in the admin panel ect but I still can’t connect through my public IP - 69.xxx . What is strange is how the router admin panel itself can still be accessed through 69.xxx but the port forwarding rules do nothing. How can I disable the admin panel from being accessible to the outside and access my Web UI?

where did you port forward and what did you port forward. in the admin panel ect but I still can’t connect through my public IP - 69.xxx . How can I disable the admin panel from being accessible to the outside and access my Web UI? If you are internal and going to your external wan address than your not really on the outside

The machine is assigned to 192.168.8.218. The default IP for the panel is the default

Where did you port forward and what did you port forward** .

I need port 8080 open so I can access it remotely from my understanding this has to be accomplished with port forwarding. It worked previously on my old router and connection.

You’re correct, it only works inside my lan. My ISP as far from my understanding doesn’t block ports. What am I doing wrong?

Can you just post a screenshot of your port forwarding settings?

after posting your settings and confirming them, make sure you also tested using http://67.x.x.x:8080 and not https://67.x.x.x:8080 assuming your web server running on 192.168.8.218 that is port forwarding 8080 from wan is an http port and not an https port.

new browser now default to https and also clear your browser cache.

I got it working. I was only unable to access it from within my own public IP. Thanks for all your help. Sorry for the confusion.
