why is it recommend to only use the official power supply?
I’ve been using it with my computers usb ports that are always powered on.
The computer usb port might cannot provide adequate power to the device.

There are also plenty of cheap power adapters that either can't provide appropriate power, or even fail to correctly negotiate voltage. It's a pretty standard disclaimer that a bad power supply could do bad things from causing unexpected reboots to permanent damage, but really any decent power supply SHOULD work.
I am well aware of cheap power supplies and only use good quality ones. The ones that came with the comet maybe quality but does not have any regulation markings such as UL/ETL.
But it’s good to know it is not a special power supply.
I see the regulation markings are on the side, so it does have UL after all.
